Congratulations to Dr. Kevan Kidder for successfully defending his dissertation!

Kevan’s research contributions to the lab over the last several years are impressive. Some of Kevan’s research highlights include uncovering the medial prefrontal cortex contribution to choice, deliberation, and reinforcement learning by use of optogenetics and electrophysiology. Especially noteworthy is his research that led to his development of a theory about a circuit involved in deliberation and memory. Kevan’s research has undoubtedly helped to advance our understanding of the brain and its functions in learning and memory. In addition to Kevan’s laudable research findings, he has been an inspiring mentor to his many students. We wish Kevan all the best as he moves on to the next phase of his career, and we are sure that he will continue to make important contributions to the field of neuroscience. Congratulations again on your successful defense, and well done on all that you have achieved!
